The Audi RS Q8 is what happens when Audi Sport drops the Lamborghini Urus drivetrain into a five seat coupé roof SUV and dials it in for British roads. In Mythos Black with high gloss black exterior trim, this is the most quietly intense car in the fleet, discreet from a distance, devastating when you bury the throttle.
Underneath sits a 4.0 litre TFSI V8 biturbo with 48 volt mild hybrid assistance, producing 600 PS and 800 Nm of torque. The 8 speed Tiptronic and quattro permanent all wheel drive system put it from rest to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, and the RS tuned adaptive air suspension and rear axle steering make it feel a class smaller in tight Cotswolds B roads.
Inside, the cabin combines Valcona leather RS sports seats with carbon fibre inlays, a flat bottomed RS multifunction steering wheel and the latest dual display MMI touch response infotainment. The Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, panoramic glass roof and four zone climate make this a genuine long distance car as well as a B road weapon.
