The Mercedes Maybach S 580 4MATIC is the flagship of the Mayfair Motors fleet, a long wheelbase, hand finished Mercedes saloon designed first and foremost as a chauffeured rear seat experience. Finished in the iconic Maybach two tone livery with Obsidian Black over Diamond White and a hand painted pinstripe down each flank, this is the default arrival car for weddings, premieres and high end transfers across London.
Power comes from the 4.0 litre M177 V8 biturbo with 48 volt EQ Boost mild hybrid assistance, 503 PS, 700 Nm and an electric starter generator that gives the car a glassy, near imperceptible getaway from rest. Mercedes' E Active Body Control air suspension scans the road ahead and pre loads each corner individually, producing a ride quality that is hard to find anywhere else at any price.
The rear cabin is the entire point of this car: two reclining executive seats with calf rests, heating, ventilation and pneumatic massage, separated by a fixed centre console with a fold out wood and leather table. Twin 11.6 inch MBUX rear tablets, a Burmester High End 4D sound system, Maybach branded champagne flutes and chilled cup holders, soft close doors and an electrically extending sun blind set.
If you only book one car for one occasion, this is the one, a flagship Mercedes hand finished to a level very few cars in London can match.
